What core business lines does your brokerage cover?
We specialise in providing cover for businesses operating in the transport industry.
How do you generate new business enquiries?
Our digital strategy includes PPC and SEO, but the vast majority of our new business comes from recommendations from our existing client base. We also use social media as a method to engage with our target customers.
What do you foresee as the biggest challenges at your brokerage at the moment
Without doubt the biggest challenge and source of frustration is dual pricing by insurers – they seem to have one rate for independent brokers and another for the bigger national brokers – despite them admitting that their distribution costs are higher through the nationals.
How do you plan to grow in the coming year?
Since we moved to Manchester city centre four years ago we have experienced significant growth and plan to continue with this growth through new products and new providers – as an example we have recently launched two additional new products into our existing offering.
What are your marketing plans this year?
Our existing marketing is tried and tested and working well for us so our plan for this year, is more of the same - we have a very specific target market and we are always exploring other ways of reaching them.
