The Ageas Home product is backed by the government Flood Re scheme which helps customers in areas of flood history or at high risk of flooding secure cover at a more affordable price. This allows you to write flood risks as standard risks as it automatically cedes to Flood Re, where necessary, and shows this clearly to the agent and customer. The Flood Re rates are based on council tax bandings with an excess of £250. This facility has been built into Cavere’s systems so there is no change to how you obtain a quote, but rather than decline for flood, it will seamlessly cede the risk in the background and provide a price for the risk (subject to meeting the Flood Re eligibility criteria).
