To celebrate the summer finally being here, we asked the BlinkIS team where their favourite holiday destination is and why! Here’s what they said…
Steve Horner - Isles of Scilly – no one there, white sandy beaches, nothing to do but walk and swim in sea with dolphins and whales.
Nicky Goodyear - I don’t think I’ve been there yet! But I have enjoyed everywhere I have visited … Tromso in Norway for the scenery and the fresh air, Soller in Majorca for the sublime food and best gin and tonics on Earth, Turkey for total relaxation and the Greek Islands for isolated beaches and crystal-clear sea
Amanda Lomas - my favourite holiday destination would be Australia, whilst I have only been a couple of times, I had a wonderful holiday and saw my brother and his family all at the same time.
Zoe Williams - skiing on Christmas Day amidst bright sunshine, pristine snow, and the opportunity to indulge in a leisurely long lunch atop a majestic mountain with awe-inspiring panoramic views is the epitome of a perfect holiday destination for me. Gliding down glistening slopes, the warm glow of the sun, the crisp, mountain air, who does not want to see snow on Christmas Day! Then there is the Après…
Sally Conrad - Mallorca is my favourite holiday destination. I have visited the island at various times of the year and on each trip find something or somewhere new to explore and experience. There are many stunning beaches and coves, beautiful towns and of course Palma with its wonderful cathedral and unique shops is always great for a wander and stopping for a glass of wine and some tapas!
Bill Broom - Turkey! Sun, sea, sand and Efes beer. Still get good value for money.
Georgia Coffin – Spain! I love Seville in particular, but anywhere in Spain ticks all the boxes for me. Amazing food, lots of olives, sun, music and flamenco.
Steve Pitt - as we got married there, I have to say Cyprus (which we also got back from today)
Carol Ranger - if I had to choose a favourite it would be Madeira, it’s a beautiful Island. Not far from the UK. Loads of places to visit from fishing villages to rocky and mountainous countryside. Fabulous hotels and a colourful historical capital – Funchal. There’s also great shopping, restaurants and bars
Amit Punj - my favourite holiday destination that I have been to is Bali. I loved the beaches, culture and various wide range of things to do. Lovely weather also helps!
